They weren't lying...

Everyone warned me to enjoy every moment because she'll grow up so fast...they weren't lying! Gracie is 3 months and 3 weeks old. I just can't believe how fast she's growing up.

At her last appointment (2 months) Gracie was in the 75th percentile in height and 50th percentile in weight. She's such a big girl! I laugh when I put 3 month sized pants on her because they look like they should be shorts.

Gracie discovered her fingers a while back and can now control to put pointer in her mouth. I enjoy watching how hard she works at attempting to putting her thumb in her mouth. She finally gives up after 15 frustrating minutes of trying. I'm certain she'll learn to get her thumb in her mouth pretty soon!

Jesse and I are proud to announce the birth of our daughter Gracie Lauren!
After 14 hours of labor, Gracie was born on July 21st at 8:08 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz and was 22 inches long!
She's perfectly healthy...that's all we could ever ask for.

2009 has arrived and God is continuing to bless our marriage! Jesse and I shared with our family and friends over Christmas that we're expecting our first child July 16, 2009! We are looking forward to February 20th as we will know the sex of our child.
We feel completely blessed that through this tough economic time for our nation God has given both of us jobs that we love and are secure. Jesse is staying busy being a middle school P.E. teacher. He is currently coaching middle school boys basketball and is preparing for his 2nd year as the Tenino's high school boys baseball coach. We're praying for another fantastic season (Jesse took the Beavers to one game away from the State Championship Game). I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary at Dynamic Collectors, Inc. --1 year later at DCI and I still wake up loving my job!
May God continue to shower us with his blessings!!

Ready for a nap

Sunday dinners at Grandpa Thomas & Grandma Barbara's house--life couldn't get any better. Imagine Thanksgiving dinner, but not on Thanksgiving. The whole family comes out, all 15 of us, for food and fellowship. It's fabulous!

Grandma Barbara and Great Aunt Sue prepared their famous Mexican dinner and even enchiladas for Boody (Jesse's younger brother), which is a separate dish of enchiladas with no olives and no onions. Great Aunt Sue made homemade pineapple upside down cake. If you've never liked upside down pineapple cake, trust me when I say, you'll LOVE Great Aunt Sue's!

After everyone has had their seconds, the guys gathered in the t.v. room and watched football and the gals got together to clean the dishes and prepare the coffee and dessert.

Sunday dinners reminds us how important it is for us to spend time with our family. It's times like today that confirms that our move to Centralia was the right move.

With a full tummy, I'm ready for snuggle time on the couch with Jesse...and NLCS baseball:)

Life is good. God is great.

Welcome Autumn

Autumn...my favorite season of all! I love the clear blue skies, but still having to be bundled up because the of the cold.
We know autumn has arrived when:
  • Jesse wakes up at 4 a.m. on the weekends to go hunting
  • On Friday nights you can hear the band playing at the high school football game
  • Jesse is watching football games all weekend long (Texas just beat Oklahoma)
  • I accessorize with scarves and mittens
  • Uggs become the footwear choice for all outfits
  • Our home smells of pumpkin spice candles and Thanksgiving dinner

Enjoy the season, enjoy your family and friends, and enjoy your weekend!
